Our story is one that is seemingly impossible. Two people who grew up on opposite sides of the world, from different cultures and backgrounds, and yet managed to follow that invisible string to each other.

Like most people these days, we met on a dating app. At the time, Maaz was living in Chicago and Grace was 6 hours away in St. Louis. For our first date, Maaz drove down to spend the weekend and almost immediately we knew that this was something special. Like a stereotypical Marine, Maaz told Grace he was going to marry her on the first date, and like most things he was right. Secretly she knew it too.

That certainty has become the bedrock of our relationship. We have built a life filled with joy even through difficulty, a firm belief that ice cream can cure any bad day, and the quiet comfort of knowing that the love we share and continue to build is one that will last.
